Its Latin name is "salvere" which means to heal, and it fully deserves it. The main ingredients of essential oil contained in sage leaves are eucalyptol, thujone, bornel, pinene as well as tannins, flavonoids, vitamins A and C as well as B vitamins.
It is helpful in treatment of acne, mycosis and psoriasis. Vitamins and phytohormones have antioxidative properties.
It combats hyperhidrosis – in such case we recommend baths with added a few drops of this oil.
Sage has many applications in the household. We especially recommend it for washing kitchen surfaces (worktops, floors) or as a fabric softener. In such case we will use not only its disinfecting properties but, primarily, its aromatherapeutic ones.
As an addition to a shampoo or rinse after washing hair with African black soap, it will help reduce dandruff and moderate the effects of seborrheic dermatitis on scalp.
INCI: Salvia Officinalis
